The article presents the results of analytical study of the solution of the problem of attachment in Russian psychology. The research studies performed in M. I. Lisina’s research tradition is the focus of the study. The aspects of attachment studies in Russian child psychology in terms of the development of communication are revealed in the particular research studies. Some issues have been raised and the prospects of attachment research in the context of cultural-historical psychology have been highlighted
