Abstract
This article presents the results of a sociological study conducted in the years 2010-2011, which attempted to study some contemporary problems relating to the parish community of the Russian Orthodox Church. Parishioners of three Moscow parishes were questioned - the parishes of the Holy Venerable Tsarevich Dimitry, of Saint Mitrophan of Voronezh and that of Saint Nicholas in Kuznetsy. Data gathered from the survey provided the authors with some suggestions regarding how to form a strong and active Orthodox parish community.
