In the present-day reality, the Orthodox clergyman is more and more integrated in various social processes and interactions, becomes a more and more active subject of communication. In this regard, one of the main spheres of communication is social perception, which is understood as perceiving and evaluating, both of the other person and oneself through the eyes of this other person. The main mechanism in such “self-perceiving” is social refl ection. The object of this study is social refl ection of the Orthodox clergyman manifesting itself in the choice of various objects of social reflection, namely churchgoing and non-churchgoing young people. Main aims of the article are the study of the image of an Orthodox clergyman in the conscience of churchgoing and non-churchgoing young people; defi nition of intentionality of social reflection of the clergyman; assessment of accurateness of social refl ection of the clergyman in the case when its object is churchgoing and non-churchgoing young people. The logic of the research process includes a theoretical analysis, definition of the diagnostic inventory, description of the study and results obtained.

In modern conditions of material-oriented society, questions of existential nature often arise in human consciousness. Even being able to satisfy natural and cultivated needs, a person often experiences a persistent unfavourable state, which determines the emotional colour of his or her perception of life; this is a state that makes one unhappy. Opposing states of favourable character are described in psychological science in such terms as life satisfaction, psychological and subjective well-being, and, finally, happiness. The aim of this article is to study religiosity as a factor of subjective well-being of young people, a factor that has independent value in our attempt to learn a little more about the internal state of religious young people. The main objectives of the study are a theoretical analysis of the phenomena of religiosity and subjective well-being; determining the content-based component of the phenomena in question that can be empirically measured; empirical study of the infl uence of religiosity on the subjective well-being of young people; establishing and interpreting statistically significant relationships; outlining main results of the study. As a model of subjective well-being used in the study, M.V. Sokolova’s model is used. It includes both a scale of general subjective well-being and separate scales. This principle of construction characterises R. Yavorsky’s model of religiosity as well. The results of the study are presented in form of empirical links with diff erent levels of statistic signifi cance and their analysis in relation to the sample of young men and women separately. The fi nal part of the article makes a general conclusion as to the character, power and direction of the possible influence of religiosity on the subjective well-being of young men and women.

Participation in the Liturgy has always been an important part of Christian life. In this article, based on the positions of various authors, researchers of the divine Liturgy, as well as the model of the categorical framework of psychological knowledge, an attempt is made to theoretically analyse the communicative and personal aspects of liturgical service. First of all, attention is drawn to the identifi cation of communicative and personal aspects in the analysis of liturgical service. This division sets out the overall direction of the analysis. Nevertheless, remembering the words of the Apostle Paul, “you are all one in Christ Jesus” (Gal. 3:28), it emphasises a certain conventionality of this division. The aim of the analysis proposed in this article is not to contrast conciliarity and individuality in liturgical service, but their separate consideration, which presupposes a certain understanding of the participant of the divine Liturgy, where the believer is an individual, I, a person who participates in public worship, shares the value of conciliarity and identifi es with the church as a community. In the present article, there is a certain symbiosis of psychological and liturgical analysis, which is subordinated to the above-mentioned purpose of the study. As a theoretical basis for such an analysis, the model of categorical framework of psychological knowledge of RAO academicians A. V. Petrovsky and M. G. Yaroshevsky was used. The author considers the liturgical service on the basis of “conditional verticals”, consisting of psychological categories, selected by the RAO academicians. Each of the “verticals conventional” content reflects the personal or communicative aspects of the liturgical celebration and includes four psychological categories of diff erent diffi culty levels (pathopsychological, basic, metapsychological, exceptionalities). At the end of the article the conclusions concerning the degree of independence and interrelation of the investigated aspects of liturgical service are formulated.

In the conditions of modern society, the problem of spiritual and moral formation and development of young people does not lose its relevance. Of course, in the process of achieving this goal, an important task is the churchification of young people, bringing them into the bosom of the Church. However, the church formation of young people is impossible without their acceptance of the basic values of the Orthodox faith. One of the main forms of existence of these values is Christian virtue. The article analyzes the main Christian virtues based on the analysis of the Apostolic epistles and scientific literature on the problem of research. The empirical part of the work examines the attitude of young men and women with different accentuations of character to the main Christian virtues. The attitude to virtue is considered as a kind of emotional component of its development, along with cognitive (knowledge of it) and behavioral (desire for its development) components. This emotional component is an intermediate link in the development of virtue. It is he who often contains the gap between a person's knowledge of various virtues and the desire to develop them in himself. It is important to note that the concept of accentuation in the study is understood in accordance with the interpretation of Karl Leonhard. With this approach, accentuation is considered as a variant of the norm with some strengthening of certain features that determine the originality, uniqueness of the individual and to some extent set the vector of her personal and spiritual growth. In the process of empirical research, a number of interesting patterns have been established regarding the attitude to Christian virtues among young men and women with different character accentuations. The study analyzes the results obtained on a sample of boys and girls separately, and also provides data on a comparative analysis of the results between these samples.
