St. Tikhon's University Review is a scientific periodical intended for the publication of findings of academic theses as well as of other research studies carried out at the university. The Review also publishes academic materials within the scope of the Humanities and social science that have theoretical and practical significance.
The predecessor of the Review from 1997 to 2003 was the Collection of Theological Papers («Богословский сборник»), which published materials on theology, Biblical philology, religious philosophy and Church history. In 2003, with the blessing of Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Alexy, St. Tikhon's University Review was established. It included the following sections: Theology, Philology, History, Pedagogy. In 2005, the Review was divided into two series, Theology; Philosophy (I) (since 2016, its full title has been St. Tikhon's University Review. Series I: Theology; Philosophy; Religious Studies) and History; History of Russian Orthodox Church (II). In 2006, the series Philology (III) and Pedagogy; Psychology (IV) were added. In 2007, the fifth series, Musical Art (V) was established, which in 2010 was given a new title, Problems of History and Theory of Christian Art.
According to requirements of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, all five series of the Review are registered in the Federal Service for Supervision in the Sphere of Telecom, Information Technologies and Mass Communications as separate mass media.
